I think.  I've dreaded most aspects of my job everyday for the last 12 years.  Most days there are only a few things that get me up and off to work:  family, money, benefits, and retirement.

It's not really what i ever though might be a source of pride, but I've become at least relatively adept at packing a small family's worth of groceries into a weekly budget of $85 for groceries and $10 for household needs. All there is left to do is go through and downsize what is on the shelves.  Most everything is up off the floor.  The last piece of the puzzle was building the brackets to hang up all the drywall, plywood, and other long scraps of wood from all the past and future building projects. What used to be the loft is now officially a 3rd bedroom, and now it belongs to Sophia.  She was sooooo excited!  For all intents and purposes, the room is done.  There are a couple of minor touch up items that have to be finished, but that is it.  Then, I just have to finish the the exterior of the room over the stairwell. Yesterday it took a couple more steps towards final completion with the installation of closet doors and an entry door casing.  Last week, the finishing drywall was done in the closet and everything was painted the final color. This week was wonderful, warm, a few thunderstorms.  We saw our first lightning of the year, the grass was greening up nicely.  This morning, Minnesota weather struck back.  Yes... that's snow. In the end of April. April 20th was our first day above 70 degrees this year.  It was lovely.  The grass is quickly greening, and the wind was a nice breeze.  We broke out Sophia's sand table, her wagon, and some outdoor toys. I watered the lawn and we took a  walk around the neighborhood. It's been almost 3 years now, and there has been lots for us to adjust to.  We went through our first winter and adjusted quickly.  We knew we were becoming Minnesotan (again for Kimberly) when at the end of that first winter, we broke out the short sleeve shirts and shorts when the temp hit 35 degrees. We had a couple inches of snow over the last couple days.  Finally, the sun is out and the temp is near 50 degrees!  In Minnesota, that is walking, jogging, dogwalking, and BBQ weather!
